CLEVELAND, Ohio — The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced the organization’s annual All-NCAC women’s basketball teams on Tuesday, and Kenyon College’s Alyssa Horsley earned All-NCAC Third Team honors. The first-year was one of just two conference newcomers to earn a spot on the 15-player ledger, and she is the first Kenyon first-year to earn all-conference accolades since Maureen Hirt in 2010-11.
Horsley wasted no time making an impact for the Owls as she led the team in points (270), rebounds (136), and assists (49) while ranking second in steals (38) over her first season in Gambier. She also paced Kenyon with 41 free throws and 53 free throw attempts, shooting 77.4 percent to lead all players with 10 or more attempts. She shot even better from the charity stripe against NCAC opponents, and her efficient 82.4 percent clip in league matchups ranked sixth amongst conference players.
