That’s a wrap on day one of Menswear Milan Fashion Week and the most undoubtedly buzz-worthy moment of the day was Sabato De Sarno embarking on his long-awaited menswear debut as Gucci’s creative director. During MFW’s Spring 2024 season, we bared witnessed to the Italian designer’s vision for womenswear and all eyes were fixated upon De Sarno today as he made he first official foray into menswear for Fall 2024. Further portraying his vision for the Italian fashion label, De Sarno mirrored the theme of Ancora from his womenswear offering (including the runway setting and the music compiled by Mark Ronson). Models paraded the darkened warehouse showspace wearing a wardrobe of long trench coats, peacoats, nylon bomber jackets, fluffy cardigans and toting oversized versions of Gucci’s signature Jackie handbag to complete the look.
