Graham Potter has taken full responsibility for Chelsea’s recent form and admitted that his team are hurting.
Chelsea lost 2-0 away to Tottenham Hotspur earlier today and are winless in their last six games in all competitions.
The 47-year-old spoke after the game and shouldered responsibility for his side’s poor run of form.
He said: “ We didn’t start the second half well.
“We conceded pretty much in the first action of the second half and it made it very difficult for us.
“I know the responsibility.
“It is not good enough for this club, so I take full responsibility for these results.
“It isn’t good enough for Chelsea.
“The players gave it everything and they are hurting.”
Goals from Oliver Skipp and Harry Kane in the second half were enough to earn Tottenham all three points.
Potter’s side are currently 10th in the Premier League 14 points off a Champions League spot.
Chelsea are next in action against Leeds on March 4.
