Gonzaga pushed its overall team winning streak to 12 straight while extending to 29 its unbeaten streak at home.
Over the past week, the Bulldogs improved to 18-2 overall and 5-0 in West Coast Conference play, winning 72-48 at Loyola Marymount on Jan. 18 and 89-60 at home over Saint Mary’s on Saturday. The win at the McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane, Wash. was the 29th straight at home, which ranks second in the country, only behind South Carolina’s 50. Gonzaga’s 12-game winning streak ranks third in the country.
In the win over Loyola Marymount, senior forward Yvonne Ejim led the way with 24 points on 11-of-15 shooting, while grabbing 12 rebounds. Guard Kaylynne Truong reached her first career double-double with 10 assists and 10 points. With the 24 points, Ejim stretched her streak of double-figure games to 24 straight and has now scored at least 20 points in 11 games this season.
