Review Rating

Basics

One of the least-expensive, (almost) fully functional AMOLED touchscreen smartwatches available, the Garmin Forerunner 165 has respectable battery life, a wide range of features, but for multisport athletes, strangely missing triathlon and multisport activity profiles.

Pros

  • Great 800-nit max, 1.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen
  • Surprisingly budget-friendly price
  • Open-water swimming activity
  • Onboard running with power
  • Light weight and small footprint
  • Physio features like sleep tracking, HRV tracking, and pulse oximeter
  • Onboard music storage (including Spotify) for an extra $50

Cons

  • Does not include triathlon and multisport activity profiles
  • Low-ish battery life, but not unreasonable for an AMOLED touchscreen at this price

Weight

40g

Price

$250
