The Final Four is one of the biggest events on the sports calendar, a weekend-long celebration of the culmination of one of the best annual tournaments in sports.
This year’s men’s iteration will take place in Houston. It’s being played in NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans, and it’s technically being “hosted” by the Houston Cougars, Rice, Houston Baptist, and Texas Southern.
Hosts in recent years have been New Orleans in the tried-and-true Superdome, Indianapolis in a fan-favorite site, and Minneapolis to showcase the Vikings’ U.S. Bank Stadium.
Houston last hosted the Final Four in 2016, when Villanova topped North Carolina 77-74 in a classic final. This will be its fourth Final Four, with the others coming in 1971, 2011, and 2016.
