The American teenager, who achieved her greatest career success at the French Open last year, is commemorating her return to Paris with a unique colorway that pays homage to both tennis and the Internet.
The ’90s-inspired unisex design of the Twisted Net CG1s contrast pastel blues and greens against a backdrop of classic white and black, creating a visually striking shoe that captures Gauff’s vibrant personality. The artistic interpretation of a tennis net symbolizes the 2022 Roland Garros finalist’s love for the sport, while the net itself warps into the shape of the Internet, reflecting her passion for social media.
The previous edition of CG1s, the Fuzzy Ace, stood out with its dominant neon yellow hue, hairy suede upper and white leather details which all drew inspiration from tennis balls.
The Coco CG1 traditionally features details celebrating the young WTA star. Her signature is featured on the tongue and the lace jewel.
