From Fila back to Head? Barbora Krejcikova’s quiet apparel switch

Just five or so years ago, Fila was a dominant force in women’s tennis fashion, with half the players at the 2019 WTA Finals sporting its F-box logo. Today, however, the brand has all but disappeared from the WTA spotlight. The latest indication of this decline is Barbora Krejcikova’s quiet departure, as the two-time Grand Slam champion no longer wears Fila on court.

In her first-round win over Tatjana Maria at Roland Garros, Krejcikova wore a navy outfit featuring a prominent Head logo on both her visor and skirt. That’s interesting, since Head was her clothing sponsor before she joined the Fila family in 2022.

Earlier this month, Krejcikova appeared in a cute pink Fila outfit while announcing a partnership with Porsche Czechia, though the promotional photos were likely taken well in advance. After a long layoff due to a persistent back injury, the Czech made her 2025 season debut at the Internationaux de Strasbourg just before the French Open, also dressed in Head apparel. “I’m enormously excited to be back on court, happy and healthy,” she said as she launched her comeback.
