French Open 2023: When will the men’s and women’s singles draw take place?

Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek are expected to be the top seeds when the 2023 French Open draw takes place ahead of the second grand slam of the calendar year.

Roland-Garros will feature a total of 256 players in the singles tournaments, where reigning champion Swiatek is aiming to win the title for the third time in four years.

There are 104 direct entries to the main draw, as well as eight wild cards and 16 players who come through qualifying days before the real action starts.

When is the French Open draw 2023?

The 2023 French Open draw will take place at 7 p.m. local time on May 25 at The Orangery in Paris. That’s 6 p.m. in the UK, 1 p.m. in USA and 3 a.m. the following day in Australia.

The draw will take place at The Orangery in Paris and is likely to be broadcast live on the tournament YouTube channel.

How does the French Open draw work?

The French Open, in common with other grand slam and major tournaments, is heavily based around seedings.

As usual, there will be 32 seeded players who are likely to avoid each other until the later stages of the tournament.
