There’s been so much great women’s soccer to watch lately. From the NCAA College Cup to international leagues to the USWNT’s friendlies against China… we’re spoiled for choice! Without further ado, let’s recap the past week of WoSo news.
High of the Weekend
The USWNT played China on Saturday, with Trinity Rodman coming up huge with two assists and a goal. She’s been on fire lately and is already proving to be a centerpiece of this new USWNT generation.
The other goals came from Sophia Smith and Lindsey Horan. The USA plays China again on Tuesday at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.
Low of the Weekend
The Kansas City Current parted ways with Sam Mewis after two seasons of her recovering from injury. Unfortunately, this alludes to Mewis not returning any time soon from her injury.
Onyeka Gamero, the USYNT and FC Barcelona player suffered a torn ACL and meniscus. The 17-year-old decided to go pro earlier this year, and it’s a shame her first season was cut short.
