The Orlando Pride continued their stellar season by clinching the NWSL Shield with a 2-0 win over the Washington Spirit. Orlando has been flawless this season with a 17-0-6 record. With three regular-season games left to go, they look to be the first time in league history to go undefeated. It’s the first time the Pride has ever won the NWSL Shield.

This week the NWSL announced that Angel City had been fined $200,000 and deducted three points after findings of salary cap violations during the 2023 season. It’s a massive punishment for a team that is fighting for a playoff spot with three games left to go in the season.
