This week was a whirlwind. We received the USWNT roster for the upcoming friendlies with a pleasant surprise in the inclusion of Julie Ertz, watched the second-weekend NWSL action with some great goals and saves, and heard some not-so-great news about one team in particular. JULIE ERTZ! She is back! After a long hiatus due to injury and pregnancy, Coach Andonovski included her on the USWNT’s roster for its upcoming friendlies against Ireland.
The 30-year-old is still figuring out her situation with an NWSL team but has been practicing with an MLS Academy team. We’re stoked to see Ertz back in action and hopefully dominating the midfield again for the United States!
