This week, the USWNT gained some confidence back, more women’s soccer attendance and ticket sales records were set, and news broke about the treatment of pregnant women playing pro soccer. So, without further ado, here’s this week’s women’s soccer news. 

 

High of the Weekend 

The USWNT won both their games down under this week, giving the team and fans a much-needed confidence boost after last fall’s losses. 

Lynn Williams’s return was especially exciting after she barely played for the Current last season following hamstring surgery. She scored a goal in the first game. 

Also, it was a record home crowd for the Football Ferns!
