High of the Week
Angel City has finally announced its new head coach Alexander Straus. He will officially take over the head coaching duties on June 1. Straus is currently the head coach of Bayern Munich where he will finish the season. He’s in his third season with Bayern and he is close to securing three straight Bundesliga titles. Straus is from Norway and he has international coaching experience having been the head coach of the U23 and U19 Norwegian Women’s National Teams. Angel City have been looking for a permanent head coach since December when they fired former head coach Becki Tweed. Sam Laity has been acting as the interim head coach while the search was ongoing. Straus is a proven winner at Bayern and he could fit in very well at Angel City.
Welcome to LA, Alexander Straus!
The two-time Bundesliga champ and current Bayern Munich Women’s head coach is officially joining Angel City as our new head coach starting June 1.
