University of Florida women’s athletics is getting a huge boost from within on this year’s International Women’s Day.
Gators quarterback DJ Lagway posted a video to X on Saturday announcing he is donating some of his own money directly to the school’s NIL collective, Florida Victorious, to be distributed amongst women’s sports teams.

The exact donation amount was not made public but a report from On3 Sports indicated it was a six-figure sum. Funds are expected to be distributed between gymnastics, women’s basketball, softball and volleyball.
“Hard work is the lifeblood of everything we do… So many hours of unseen work, but I see it,” Lagway said in his video announcement. “I am truly inspired by these women, their passion pushes me to go harder every single day.”
The 19-year-old rising sophomore encouraged others to join him in supporting female athletes and show appreciation for their dedication.
His NIL value is estimated at $3.8 million, which ranks him at No. 4 in amongst all other college football players.
