Florida men’s basketball coach Todd Golden is the subject of a Title IX complaint that accuses him of sexual harassment, including sending lewd photos of himself while traveling for the Gators, according to a report Friday by the university’s student newspaper.
The newspaper, The Alligator, reported that Golden is also being accused by multiple women of asking for sexual favors, using social media to make unwanted sexual advances and stalking. A formal complaint was filed with Florida’s Title IX office on Sept. 27, The Alligator reported.
“In order to comply with federal law, the university cannot comment on or confirm any Title IX inquiries, complaints, or investigations,” the university said in a statement. Golden and his agent did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Alligator reported that it obtained the Title IX complaint, and two former UF students corroborated many of the details to the newspaper.
Golden, 39, has coached the No. 21 Gators to their 2-0 start this season, including a 21-point win over Jacksonville on Thursday evening. Florida is next scheduled to play Monday at home against Grambling State.
