Florida graduate student Trinity Thomas scored a perfect 10.0 on the final vault of her college gymnastics career during the NCAA women’s gymnastics championship in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday. Here’s what you need to know:
- The 10.0 was the 28th perfect mark of Thomas’ career, placing her in a three-way tie with former Kentucky gymnast Jenny Hansen and former UCLA star Jamie Dantzscher for most 10.0s in NCAA history.
- Florida recorded a season-high 49.575 on vault in the third rotation of the championship meet.
- Oklahoma edged Florida for the team title, recording a 198.3875 to best the Gators’ 198.2375.

Backstory
Thomas had limited her reps in practice leading up to the championship, as she suffered a lower leg injury during a floor routine at the regional finals on March 31. The Gators’ star all-arounder competed only two events — vault and uneven bars — at the championships due to the injury.
