Florida Governor DeSantis urges President Biden to let Novak Djokovic in for Miami

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is urging United States President Joe Biden to change his “misguided and unscientific COVID-19 vaccination requirement” and allow Novak Djokovic to compete at the Miami Masters. Last month, Djokovic applied to be granted a special permission to enter the United States as an unvaccinated foreigner.

Unfortunately for Djokovic, his request was denied and he was forced to withdraw from the Indian Wells Masters. Even though Djokovic hasn’t yet withdrawn from the Miami Masters, his chances of being allowed to enter the United States for Miami are slim to none.

“The only thing keeping Novak Djokovic from participating in the Miami Open tennis tournament is President Biden’s misguided and unscientific COVID-19 vaccination requirement for foreigner travelers. Mr. President – lift your restrictions and let him compete,” DeSantis tweeted.
