“After 15 months being away from tennis and having my baby boy, Petr, I’m coming back to tennis circuit,” Kvitova said. “I really miss playing and miss competing, so I’m really looking forward to be back.” In her video message, she revealed her upcoming schedule, starting with the WTA 250 ATX Open in Austin, Texas, followed by the WTA 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami.

Kvitova’s last appearance on the Hologic WTA Tour was at the 2023 China Open. A few months before that, she married her coach, Jiri Vanek, and the couple announced her pregnancy on New Year’s Day 2024. They welcomed their first child together in July 2024.
