Alex Corretja expects Iga Swiatek to be great and land another Grand Slam in 2024 as the former world No. 2 highlights that the Pole is a hard worker who is focused on making moves that will help her stay dominant in the long term.
After having one of the most dominant seasons in recent memory in 2022, Swiatek was challenged in 2023. Still, Swiatek was able to win one Grand Slam title this past season and finish as the world No. 1 despite losing the top spot in September to Aryna Sabalenka.
Going into the 2024 season, there are several players who have proved capable of challenging Swiatek and winning Grand Slams. Most notably, those players are Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff. With four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka returning, that could also mean more competition for Swiatek.
