The 2025 Division I men’s and women’s indoor track and field championships will see nine returning champions attempt to defend their titles. Here’s a look at who’s trying to repeat when the championships hit Virginia Beach.
Men’s Weight Throw: Kenneth Ikeji | Harvard
Harvard’s Kenneth Ikeji is attempting to become the first athlete to repeat in the weight throw since LSU’s Walter Henning did so from 2010-11.
Men’s Shot Put: Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan | Ole Miss
Ole Miss swept the men’s shot put in 2024 and will look to make it three shot put titles in a row in Virginia Beach.

Women’s 60 meters: Brianna Lyston | LSU
Brianna Lyston ran 7.03 seconds to win last year’s title, making her the second-fastest woman in NCAA 60 meter history. She enters the championship meets after running a season-best 7.13 seconds at SEC Championships.
