2014 Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard has accepted a main draw wildcard into an ITF event in Oeiras. Bouchard, 29, competed in Oeiras nine years ago, when the city was hosting a WTA tournament. Back then, Bouchard made the quarterfinal before losing to Svetlana Kuznetsova.
Next week, Bouchard will be competing in Portugal for the first time since 2014. “Hey everyone. I’m so excited to finally come back to Portugal and play in the Oeiras Ladies Open. It has been so long since I have been back. I can’t wait to see you all there,” Bouchard said in a statement.

Bouchard joins Elina Svitolina
The Oeiras organizers have now landed two big names. Previously, former world No 3 Svitolina also accepted a wildcard into the tournament.
