Emma Raducanu is fully locked in on getting ready for the start of the 2024 season as the Briton took to Instagram to post about starting her morning with a gym bike exercise. In May, 20-year-old Raducanu had both of her wrists surgically repaired and she also had surgery on her right ankle.
Raducanu hasn’t played since but she has been working on a comeback for quite some time. “Good morning,” Raducanu captioned her Instagram Story.
Raducanu confirmed she is returning in 2024
Although Raducanu didn’t announce her 2023 season was finished after undergoing three surgeries, the general expectation was that the Briton would not play again this year.
Since August, Raducanu has been combining gym and practice court work. Last month, Raducanu confirmed her plans to play again in 2024. “Next season I’ll be back. This season all the slams were finished so it was difficult to watch them go by but I was trying to stay in my lane as much as possible and keep focused on my recovery,” Raducanu told BBC London in September.
