Emma Raducanu is set for more Billie Jean King Cup action after British team captain Anne Keothavong has included her in the team for the Finals that are slated to take place between November 13-20.
In April, the 2021 US Open champion agreed to play and made her first BJK Cup appearance in exactly two years. And it was an impressive return to the team after the 21-year-old earned two hard-fought three-set wins over Caroline Garcia and Clara Burel to lead her nation to a 3-1 win in Le Portel and help them book a ticket for the main stage.
As a reward, Raducanu will lead the British team again and she is set to be joined by Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart, Heather Watson and Olivia Nichols.
On November 15th, Great Britain will battle against Germany in the round-of-16 – with the winner taking on defending champion Canada in the next round.
Can Raducanu and Co. deliver?
After missing the 2022 BJK Cup Finals and not representing her side in 2023, the 21-year-old dealt with some harsh criticism and scrutiny. But earlier this year, the former world No. 10 signed up for the France tie and there was no doubt that she was the biggest reason why Great Britain managed to upset France in an away tie on a clay surface that favored the hosts.
