Emma Raducanu has decided to make her return to tennis at the ASB Classic in Auckland, tournament director Nicolas Lamperin announced on Thursday. Raducanu, who turned 21 last month, had surgeries on both wrists and her right ankle in May.
After missing the entire second part of the 2023 season and taking her time to recover, Raducanu is set to play again in the first week of the 2024 season. In Auckland, Raducanu will be making her second appearance. The 2024 Auckland edition is set to take place between January 01-07 and Raducanu’s competition there includes the likes of 2023 US Open champion Coco Gauff and former world No 1 Caroline Wozniacki.
