Emma Raducanu decided to skip the Paris Olympics to better prepare for the North American tournaments and, at the same time, to avoid the transition – which could bring physical risks – from clay to hard courts.
The British player's schedule was, however, rather particular and, in the last few hours, many media have discussed with great perplexity the young and talented British tennis player and her choices. Raducanu did not receive wildcards for both the Nationak Bank Open in Toronto and the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati. Decision taken by the organizers given the results – now for some time – complicated for the British tennis player. Emma has essentially remained stationary, skipping the Olympics but also the summer tournaments in North America; Raducanu risks arriving at the US Open without playing tournaments.
