Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe has been left out of their travelling squad for tonight’s FA Cup fourth-round clash against Manchester City due to injury.
Smith Rowe, 22, has struggled with injury all season, sustaining a groin problem in early September and subsequently not returning until the FA Cup third-round win over Oxford United earlier this month.
The England international also featured as a late substitute in the north London derby victory against Tottenham Hotspur, and was unused as Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-2 last weekend.
Arsenal have made two January signings in forward Leandro Trossard and defender Jakub Kiwior, and both are fit and available to face City.
Trossard, 28, made his debut as a second-half substitute against United while Kiwior, 22, completed his move from Spezia earlier this week.
Tonight’s match sees the Premier League’s top two go head to head for the first time in over a year, with Arsenal leading City by five points at the half-way stage of the season.
