Elisabeth Terland scored a brace to open her Manchester United account in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Women’s Super League.
The Norwegian joined Man United in the summer following the expiry of her Brighton & Hove Albion contract. Terland showcased her goalscoring instincts for the Seagulls last season, netting 13 WSL goals to finish second in the scoring charts alongside Chelsea’s Lauren James.
The summer signing started Man United’s opening two league matches against West Ham United and Everton. The Red Devils may have recorded back-to-back victories, but Terland failed to find the net in either of those two fixtures.
The Norway international then made a substitute appearance in a 2-0 win over Liverpool in the Women’s League Cup. However, she was unable to get on the scoresheet in that contest, ensuring her wait for a goal continued into Sunday’s home meeting with Tottenham.
