Elina Svitolina says tennis has taught her that life is a constant adjustment and that being ready for everything that may come your way is the key. Over the last 15 months, Svitolina experienced one of the biggest joys of her life but at the same time has been going through one the most stressful and toughest periods of her life.
In early 2022, Svitolina learned that she was pregnant and she delivered a baby girl Skai in October. Becoming a mother has been one of the biggest joys of 29-year-old Svitolina’s life. But there is another side – Svitolina has been feeling very stressed over the last 15 months due to the horrifying situation in Ukraine.
“Constant adjustment. It can be windy, it can be rainy, you might be waiting for six or seven hours. But you have to be ready for anything that comes your way,” Svitolina told the WTA website.

Svitolina has been very outspoken in support of Ukraine ever since Russia invaded her home country on February 24th, 2022.
