Elina Svitolina did an outstanding job in the Washington round-of-16 and afterward funnily asked her coach Raemon Sluiter to allow her to treat herself with just one beer. On Wednesday, Svitolina saw off 11th-ranked Daria Kasatkina 6-2 6-2 to reach the Washington quarterfinal.
“Can you take me one beer please (praying emoji),” Svitolina messaged her coach and also added a gif of wide-eyed Puss in Boots. Svitolina’s coach jokingly responded: “Hahaha. How can I refuse.”

Going into the match, Svitolina was probably expecting a tough matchup against fifth-seeded Kasatkina.
But there was no drama as Svitolina claimed two breaks of serve in each set to very routinely beat Kasatkina. “I just try to fight each time I play Dasha. She’s a tough opponent to face, and each time, I try to play just one extra ball over the net, to take and dictate the game.
