Elina Svitolina is uncertain about how many more years she will play but she knows that there are still goals she wants to achieve before walking away from pro tennis. Svitolina, 28, and her husband Gael Monfils welcomed their first child in October – a baby girl named Skai.
After being out for 13 months, Svitolina returned to action at a WTA event in Charleston earlier this month. Svitolina, a two-time Grand Slam semifinalist and a former world No 3, was considered one of the best players in the game before she took a lengthy break from tennis.
It is not a secret that Svitolina is certainly hoping to win a Grand Slam before she retires.

“I would like to spend all my time with Skai and share every moment with her, but I decided to return to competition and focus on my tennis.
I don’t know how many more seasons I will play, but there are some milestones I would like to achieve before retiring. In the near future I am clear about my plans. I will play an ITF tournament in Oeiras, Portugal, then I will rest for a week and then I will play a WTA 125 in Saint-Malo.
In May I will use the protected ranking to play the WTA 1000 in Rome, then Strasbourg and finally Roland Garros,” Svitolina said, per Punto de Break. After…
