Elena Rybakina repeated in her Australian Open pre-tournament press conference that she was “never mistreated” by Stefano Vukov and also blasted Pam Shriver for making some claims when she even doesn’t know her personally.
After the Kazakh tennis star returned the Croatian to her team last week, it was revealed that the WTA launched an investigation over possible misconduct.
However, it wasn’t the world No. 6 that filed a complaint to the WTA about Vukov’s behavior but someone else from the tennis world.
Shriver, who is one of the most outspoken critics of Rybakina’s partnership with the 37-year-old, didn’t hide on X that she was disappointed over their reunion.
The 1976 US Open finalist may be disappointed that the two got back together but the Kazakh is frustrated that she is still not officially allowed to have the Croatian coach in her team – at least until the investigation concludes.
