Elena Rybakina reveals her condition actually got worse after she announced her sudden French Open withdrawal. Just before the start of her French Open third-round match, Rybakina pulled out of the tournament after contracting a virus.
When Rybakina returned to the hotel, her condition got actually worse so she remained in her hotel room for a few days before leaving Paris. Last week, Rybakina returned to action in Berlin, where she was upset by Donna Vekic in the round-of-16.
This week, Rybakina is competing in Eastbourne, where she admitted to still not feeling 100 percent.

“It’s been tough actually. At the French Open after I withdrew I went back to the hotel and it was even worse so I had to stay in Paris for a few days not leaving the room.
I started my preparation week after just slowly starting and it was tough since it was a virus. So I still think that I’m not 100 percent physically where I want to be but slowly it’s getting better and hopefully I can get some more matches here and feel more comfortable at Wimbledon,” Rybakina said, per Tennis Up To Date.
