Elena Rybakina is set to start her 2024 season at the Brisbane International, the tournament announced. Rybakina, 24, has no previous appearances at the tournament as she is set for her tournament debut. Rybakina, ranked at No 4 in the world, is one of the biggest names in the game and she is set to highlight the 2024 Brisbane player field.
This year, Rybakina started her 2023 season by playing in back-to-back WTA events in Adelaide. In 2024, Brisbane is returning to the tennis calendar and hosting a WTA tournament for the first time since 2020 and Rybakina is set to participate in their event.
