The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be an opportunity for a number of players to show their ability on the highest stage. In this article, we at The Equalizer have tried to steer clear of the obvious big names and profile some of the most exciting prospects that could break out this summer.

Here are eight players we think you, our readers, should keep an eye on.

Chiara Beccari (Italy)

Beccari impressed so much during her loan spell with Como that, in April, Juventus signed her to a three-year contract. What Juve didn’t mention in their announcement post was that one of Beccari’s five goals last season came against them. The 18-year-old punished her parent club with wonderful jinking footwork and combination play before a composed finish, sealing a point for lowly Como and damaging Juve’s title hopes. Five months later, she made her senior national team debut, and now she is going to the World Cup. Only two players in Serie A had more successful take-ons than Beccari last term. A tricky inside…
