A swimming pool that took the Eastern Cape sports and recreation department over 10 years to complete is still not open. According to a Ground-Up report, Mlonyeni Construction was appointed in 2008. However, after the company had been paid R7 million, the contract was terminated in March 2012 due to poor performance. Ground-Up reporter Nombulelo Damba-Hendrik has more.
