Especially with spring football barely underway and both of Miami’s men’s and women’s basketball teams not being close to NCAA Tournament appearances, Canes fans can’t just wait till the Fall for good news to come their way.
Luckily for them, good news came in the form of an update on their next men’s basketball coach. While reports have already come out that Duke associate head coach Jai Lucas is set to be the program’s next head coach, a recent update shared by ESPN includes when the Hurricanes can expect the elite recruiter to officially arrive in Coral Gables.
While there had been conversations on whether Lucas would stick around with the Blue Devils for the postseason, Thamel shares that Lucas will go join Miami after the regular season ends. The Blue Devils play their final regular season game on Saturday against the North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill.
