After ATP star Tennys Sandgren saw the fresh trailer for the new movie “Challengers”, he opined that the love triangle script behind the film had drawn inspiration from the professional tennis circuits. WTA player Arina Rodionova supported Sandgren’s opinion.
“Well this script didn’t come out of thin air,” Sandgren tweeted. Rodionova replied in a secretive manner. “Can think of a few names,” Arina tweeted.

Seeing Sandgren and Rodinova’s tweets, a user tipped Donna Vekic and Grigor Dimitrov as the sources of inspiration for the movie.
Donna Vekic dated Stan Wawrinka for 4 years but she has also been rumored to be dating compatriot Borna Coric. On the other side, Grigor Dimitrov was rumored to be dating Serena Williams for a short time, and has also been involved romantically with Maria Sharapova.
