Grigor Dimitrov defeated Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, qualifying for the semi-final of the Miami Open thanks to an extraordinary performance.
The Bulgarian will now challenge Alexander Zverev in the semifinal of the ATP Masters 1000 in Florida.
Grigor played a sensational match, dominating his young Spanish opponent for the entire match, thanks to some sparkling and aggressive tennis, knocking Alcaarz out of the tournament with the final score of 6-2 6-4.
“Carlos is amazing. I love watching him play. Honestly, I love watching him play, I love training against him, competing against him. I mean, I’m 12 years older than him. Honestly, it’s a lot of fun for me to test myself. It’s a great opportunity for me.
I was aware of what was happening, how it was happening. And I knew that if I had another chance and opportunity, I could actually, like, step in, and that would give me another chance.
