After perhaps the most decorated career of any professional athlete forever, Diana Taurasi has hung it up.
The basketball legend whose accolades are unmatched announced her retirement Tuesday, Feb. 25. After 20 years in the WNBA, all with the Phoenix Mercury, Taurasi had nothing left to prove. An 11-time all-star, three-time WNBA champion, two-time WNBA Finals MVP, 10-time All-WNBA first team, four-time All-WNBA second team and the 2009 MVP, Taurasi will forever be one of the greatest WNBA players of all time.
Her professional career, where she is the historic leader in points, three-pointers and free throws and second in games and minutes played, was one of a kind. But before she became an all-time great, she was a college star. She was dominant at the University of Connecticut where her individual and team accomplishments were legendary.
Here is a look at Taurasi’s college career.
