Today’s major fashion news is Moschino finally has themselves a creative director in Davide Renne, following the shock exit of Jeremy Scott back in March, who spent 10 fabulous and fun-filled years at the helm of the Italian fashion house. Scott leaves behind some immense shoes to fill, having delivered a whole plethora of joyous and unapologetically kitsch collections (and equally as dazzling advertising campaigns to match) which have helped reshape, redefine and revive the house Franco Moschino founded in 1983.
Tuscan-born Renne has been at Gucci for the past two decades, and most recently held the head of womenswear design position until his appointment at Moschino, starting his new role on November 1. After Moschino welcomed mega stylists Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Lucia Liu, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and Katie Grand as guest designers for Spring 2024, Renne’s debut collection is set to be revealed in February 2024 during Milan Fashion Week.
