No. 5 Daria Kasatkina has just won the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo after setting up a huge third-set comeback to beat world No. 19 Mirra Andreeva 6-0 4-6 6-4 in the final.
The all-Russian final in Ningbo featured a couple of twists and turns as the 27-year-old appeared to heading toward earning a very dominant win before the 17-year-old stormed back and put herself in a great position to win.
But after allowing Andreeva to get back into the final and take the lead, the elder Russian regrouped and sealed her second title of the year and overall eighth WTA trophy after an hour and 54 minutes of play.
On the other side, the rising Russian star remains on one WTA title she captured in Iasi this past July.
Also, this was the first meeting between the two.

The 27-year-old’s experience may have been a factor early in the final after the No. 5 seed claimed four breaks and dropped no service games to open a very impressive 6-0 1-0 lead.
After being bageled in the opener and finding herself down by an early second-set break, the 17-year-old finally started showing some signs of life as she responded with back-to-back breaks and went 4-1 up.
