Daniil Medvedev hilariously called out certain WTA coaches when explaining that his daughter Alisa definitely has his characteristics and traits.
In 2022 October, 28-year-old Medvedev and his wife Daria welcomed their first child, a baby girl Alisa. Shortly after becoming a father for the first time, Medvedev described himself as “a cold person in life” before revealing that he felt some “special emotions” when his daughter was born and that it showed him he could also be sensitive.
On Thursday, Medvedev defeated Holger Rune 7-5 6-4 in the Indian Wells quarterfinal. After receiving a couple of questions related to his tense moment with Rune and a cold post-match shake of hands, the Russian received another interesting question – a reporter asked him about his wife revealing to a magazine that his daughter is “a strong personality” just like him. Also, the reporter told Medvedev his wife said that makes parenting Alisa a bit difficult at times and asked the 28-year-old if his daughter was indeed similar to him.
