Danielle Collins explains what makes Iga Swiatek such a difficult opponent

Danielle Collins says Iga Swiatek is “very precise with her shots” and “runs down a lot of balls” after losing to the Pole in Montreal. On Friday, former world No 7 Collins exited Montreal in the quarterfinal after top-seeded Swiatek handed the American a 6-3 4-6 6-2 loss.

“It’s pretty tricky when you play the world No 1. She’s very precise with her shots. She runs down a lot of balls. There were a couple points here and there that I lost. Ultimately it determined the outcome of those sets,” Collins said, via The Tennis Letter.

Collins fell short to Swiatek in three sets

Swiatek made a very good start to the match, breaking Collins early for a 3-0 lead.
