Week two of the National Women’s Soccer League regular season is in the books, and some intriguing threads were teased out of the weekend’s action. Clubs on the west coast might be reasserting themselves. Rookies and other young players are quickly becoming the centerpiece of the league’s talent. And one team has to figure something out quickly in order to stop the bleeding.

West coast = best coast

All five West coast teams claimed at least a point from their respective weekend fixtures. After a passive opening weekend, fans saw a great deal more positive energy coming out of the Pacific time zone.
