Crystal Palace have parted ways with manager Laura Kaminski with immediate effect.
Kaminski joined the club in July 2023 and guided the side to promotion from the Women’s Championship to the Women’s Super League (WSL) for the first time in club history last term.
The club have struggled in the English top flight, however, winning only a single game this season. They sit bottom of the league, four points from safety with eight games remaining.
Chairman Steve Parish called it “an extremely difficult decision” for the club to take.
He said in a statement on Friday: “Laura has made a fantastic impact since arriving in the summer of 2023, getting the club promoted to the WSL for the first time in its history.
“Laura has given her all, on and off the pitch, and she leaves here with all of our thanks and best wishes for the future.”
Before joining Palace from Charlton Athletic, Kaminski spent three seasons as assistant at Tottenham Hotspur, where she helped win promotion to the WSL, and also coached at Arsenal, Brighton and Hove Albion, Watford, Queens Park Rangers and Chelsea.
Palace say they will provide an update on Kaminski’s replacement in due course.
