Cori Gauff shares how she really feels about her chances of landing first Grand Slam

Cori Gauff, 19, thinks she is on “the pathway” to landing her first Grand Slam title.Gauff, ranked at No 7 in the world, burst onto the scene exactly four years ago when she upset Venus Williams and made the Wimbledon round-of-16 as a 15-year-old qualifier.Four years later, Gauff is a Grand Slam finalist and has been ranked as high as No 4 in the world.But Gauff is aiming for greater heights as it is not a secret that she wants to be a Grand Slam champion and ranked at No 1 in the world.

Going into this year’s Wimbledon, Gauff hopes The All England Club can be the place where she will fulfill her dream of becoming a Slam champion.

“That would be the greatest thing.

I don’t know how my career will pan out but I do think I’m giving myself the best opportunity and the best chance with the day-by-day work that I’m doing and that’s all I can control.
