A trio of intriguing fights headline Matchroom Boxing’s showing at the Caribe Royale in Orlando on September 23.
The main event finds Richardson Hitchins looking to make the next step in his journey to become a world champion when he faces Jose Zepeda in a battle of super lightweights. Conor Benn returns to action after a year away due to multiple failed drug tests heading into his fight with Chris Eubank and will square off with Rodolfo Orozco in a showdown between 154-pound fighters. Last, but certainly not least, Jessica McCaskill and Sandy Ryan will clash in a title unification battle for the WBA, WBC, WBO and Ring Magazine women’s welterweight titles.
It’s a loaded card that airs on DAZN in the U.S. with all three fights having significant implications on the future of the competitors.
Hitchins (16-0, 7 KOs) is back at it after winning a unanimous decision in February against John Bauza but will be tested against seasoned veteran Jose Zepeda (37-3, 28 KOs). Zepeda is coming off of a victory over Neeraj Goyat after falling short against Regis Prograis.
