Three teams have run the gauntlet of the 2024 NCAA softball tournament and punched their tickets to the Women’s College World Series. The final five slots in Oklahoma City will be filled by the end of Sunday.
While No. 1 Texas outscored opponents 26-2 in the Austin Regional, including two no-hitters, the Longhorns have been living dangerously in the super regionals against Texas A&M with a loss Friday and a come-from-behind nine-inning win Saturday. Big 12 rivals Oklahoma and Oklahoma State already have advanced to the WCWS; will Texas join them?
Speaking of Oklahoma State, the Cowgirls were the only team with a chance to clinch their super regional Saturday to advance, eliminating Arizona. The remaining five series all split, setting up a huge day of win-or-go-home games from coast to coast.
