Nineteen-year-old Coco Gauff tops the list of the highest-paid female athletes in 2023. Tennis players continue to dominate women’s sports when it comes to financial compensation for their work, as seven out of Top 10 earners are from the WTA.

The world No.3 Gauff, who famously said that she didn’t know what to spend her $3 million US Open champion’s prize money on, claimed a staggering $6.7 million from tournaments and amassed an impressive $16 million through endorsements during 2023.

Following closely behind, WTA No.1 Iga Swiatek secured the second spot on the earnings chart within women’s sports. The Pole garnered $9.9 million in prize money and a noteworthy $12 million from sponsorships.

Emma Raducanu clinched the fourth position despite earning a modest $238,000 from her tennis performances. Nonetheless, the Brit’s marketability translated into a substantial $16 million from endorsement deals.

Even without participating in tennis competitions due to pregnancy and maternity leave, Naomi Osaka claimed the fifth spot, amassing $15 million through lucrative sponsorship agreements.
